That one moment

That one moment

The burden
It’s simply too much
The weight breaking my back
The legs refusing to take another step
Breathing a struggle
Mind ready to explode
Heart some how managing to beat
Eyes refusing to any other eyes meet

And in that one moment of realisation
The moment which began the transition
I felt light
Eyes began to operate with near perfect sight
The legs willing to walk
And mine once parched throat now willing to talk

That one defining moment
Which changed my life
When to forgive and be forgiven I chose
And in my own eyes I rose

….the unicorn
