Live I in a house rented
Drive I the cheapest car with its body dented
Working hours mine are long
Companion mine is the radios crackling song

Little time do I have to read
Little time I have to spend with my family indeed
Earn I just about enough to suffice
Every morning a new game starts when the unseen hands play my life’s dice

Some friends say the doomsday is near
Some the rising prices fear
Some feel the politicians are cheats
Some are busy enjoying life as if it were a never ending treat

The smiling faces of my family welcome me evening each
The hope in their eyes, every days a lesson to me teach
The encourage me
They push me
At times we fight
Thank you dear God for surrounding me with them
Their presence is indeed the most blessed sight
