I think about you…

I think about you...

As I stand before your statue
Dear God
I wonder…wonder about you
Faces many
Shapes so many
All over the world
You are seen
In varied colours and hue
Dear God
I wonder about you

Did you make human
Or did human made you

In jungles deep…in the wild
The animals are found
I see no temples
… nor the ringing bells and praying sounds

In the waters blue..and green
Ponds, lakes rivers and seas
Some dirty some clean
Why are your statues missing
How does the marine life do the soul cleansing

The mountains high
Kissing the clouds in the sky
In abundance the birds fly
None celebrates here…your stature
Dear God…strange is this nature

I no longer seek you
In temples
In mosques
In churches
In prayer rooms
In books

In how the statues look I think God you are the manifestation of human desires

You are just.. simple pure love

But my impure mind
So used to materialistic goods
Wants to feel you in kind
So I give you the face
The face of my desire
The body of my needs
The reflection of my greed
As I stand before your statue

Dear God
I wonder..about you
All over the world
You are seen
In varied colours and hue
Dear God
I wonder about you

Did you make human
Or human made you
